About CertBridge

About CertBridge

CertBridge is an independent U.S. teacher certification service for teachers moving to a new state: a free pathway assessment, step-by-step application guides and tools. Live for New York.

What does CertBridge do?

CertBridge helps teachers moving to a new state find which certification route fits them and prepare to apply. A free assessment identifies the route from a teacher's credential, program and experience. Application guides then list what to prepare and where to submit.

1 · Start

Free pathway assessment

Answer a few questions about your background and see the route that fits you, what it requires, and what to confirm with the state. The assessment is a rules engine: the same answers give the same result, and a language model does not decide your pathway.

2 · Prepare

Application guides and tools

Guides show what to prepare, in the order to do it, and where to submit, with official links. A progress checklist tracks what you have confirmed; your checks do not mean NYSED approval.

3 · Ask

Individual support

If something is still unclear, email us. Support is charged separately from the guides, and the state still makes the final decision on your certificate.

Before you start

Who is behind CertBridge?
CertBridge was built by two New York certified teachers who both went through certification themselves, to give teachers their time back so it can go to students.
Is this official?
No. CertBridge is an independent U.S. teacher certification service and is not part of NYSED or any state agency. Every rule comes from the state's own published sources, and each one links to its source. The state makes the final decision on your certificate.
Is CertBridge related to other companies called CertBridge?
No. CertBridge is a U.S. teacher certification service for teachers moving to a new state. It is not related to companies with a similar name that work in corporate training, digital certificates or security.
Can you guarantee my application will be approved?
No, and no one can promise that, including CertBridge. CertBridge shows you the route that fits your background, flags what could cause a problem, and tells you what to confirm with the state.
I teach outside the US. Can you help?
Yes, with limits. New York says it no longer offers international reciprocity, so a certificate from another country does not transfer on its own. We show which options exist and where each step happens; for anything we have not checked, we say so and point to the official source.
Does it work for my state?
CertBridge covers New York today. We add a state only after its rules are checked against official sources, and we will not claim coverage we have not verified.
What does it cost?
The assessment is free. Unlocking the application guides is a single purchase, and the price is shown before you pay; switching routes afterwards costs nothing extra. Individual support is charged separately.
What if my situation changes?
With the guides you can switch routes at any time. Your progress stays with your account, so reassessing does not mean buying again.

CertBridge is not affiliated with NYSED or any state agency. Rules are checked against official sources on the date shown on each rule; always confirm with the state before you apply.
